Founded as Hayes Sign Company in 1927, Allied began in Belmar, NJ as a commercial sign shop, specializing in hand painted signs. In 1945, Hayes Sign Company was purchased by Arthur Yates, at which time the name was changed to Yates Sign Company. The following year, Yates became a fully U.L. Listed, electric sign company (U.L. listed since 1946) and began manufacturing state-of-the-art, internally illuminated signage. Incorporated in 1957, we expanded our manufacturing plant and moved operations to Wall Township, NJ. In 1988, Yates was sold to a third-generation family member and in 1997, expanded once again moving operations to our current location in Eatontown, NJ. |
